Kapnick family honors father with gift

Kapnick Center for Business Institutions, home to the University’s largest minor, offers access to Kellogg faculty and dedicated career advising.

A gift in honor of the late Chicago businessman Harvey Kapnick has transformed the center that bears his name. With the support of the Kapnick Foundation, the Kapnick Center for Business Institutions, in collaboration with Kellogg School of Management, offers students of all undergraduate schools the opportunity to pursue a minor in Business Institutions. The interdisciplinary minor has students link the study of business to a broad array of other academic areas, while providing a strong foundation in accounting, marketing management, organizational leadership, and corporate finance.

Scott Kapnick, son of the late Harvey Kapnick, said, “Our hope is that this gift will allow more students to benefit from the broad interdisciplinary perspective that will prepare them as visionary leaders in their careers.”
